Sabbath is an ideal time for weddings, since Adam and Eve were married on the evening of the Feast of Trumpets. Funerals would also be permitted, but raising them from the dead on the Sabbath would be even more appropriate.

Is it wrong to have a furneral on the Sabbath. And would God accept Sabbath Weddings.

I think that when a person desides to love things instead of people, lust takes over everything that they do and see. I think we live in a world driven by lust.

God knows the end from the beginning. He foreknew all the modern changes, and He wrote His Word in the form of principles that are applicable in any time, age, or circumstance. Will the clay tell the Potter how He needs to be more modern? No, we must accept that God is all-knowing, and He gives us His Spirit so we can expound and explain the Scriptures in a modern, relevant way. Man's carnal nature has not changed since the commandments ware given, only the degree of depravity has increased. Whether you're stealing somebody's cow or stealing somebody's identity on the Internet, it's still theft. So the commandment is still relevant.

But would God not want it updated because of all the changes in the world that have happened since the commandments were given.

It would hurt God since we would be showing Him how much we don't love and respect Him. David loved God's law and God called him a man after his own heart. God has to curse people who take away from His Word so they will be brought to repentance and blessing. Read Matthew 5:19. Why would anyone want to be called least in the Kingdom? The Word and law of God are the pathway to blessing. Why would anyone want to take away part of the blessing God has for us?

Our pastor said it would not hurt anyone to modernize the 10 commandments and about 60% of the rest of the bible. Who would it hurt to do such a thingÉ

No, that does not count. Turn over your love of the dead and lay down your hurts to Jesus and start loving God and people by His grace.

The ones destined for destruction in the last days are not destroyed forever. They are resurrected after the Millennium. You can be sure you are not one condemned forever because you are asking the question. Those who have rebelled permanently are not asking if they are favoured or not.

If I was born to be a son of God, then how come God said some where destined for distruction? And how can I be sure I am not one of them? I find sin to easy to get caught up into.

Revelation 22:19 says ,"and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book. "Deuteronomy 12:32 says, “ Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do; you shall not add to nor take away from it.Why would anyone want to bring a curse from God on themselves by taking away part of His Word and law? The curse spoken in Revelation is a principle that applies to all the Word and law of God. Why would anyone want to be edited out of God's book of life?

Why not edit the 10 commandments as so few people pay attention to them anyway? I can think of at least six that should go.

When my children do not honor their mother but constantly attack and abuse me. Do I deal with them in grace or mercy? I am having more and more trouble trying to forgive then for their evil vicious attacks.

I love the dead because they do not hurt me. Does that count for loving people and liking things?

The laws in the US are based on the foundation of laws in the Bible. Evil will grow stronger and stronger, but Jesus comes soon to make His law go out, all of it, from Jerusalem. No judge has a right to do away with God's laws. They are the foundation of a moral society our founding fathers desired.

I think that people edit out the commandments that they do not want to hear about or do everyday and everytime a good temptation comes along.

I think that your solutions are just to simple. Trying not to love things has to be a matter of choice and it is very hard to chose to like things and love people. People betray to often to love them.
